International Teaching Staff

Our College is proud to have a highly qualified and internationally diverse teaching staff from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, and Italy. Their varied professional and cultural backgrounds enrich our learning environment, promote global awareness, and ensure that students benefit from diverse perspectives and international educational expertise.

  • All subjects are taught in English by our international teaching staff, with the exception of Albanian Language, Albanian Language and Literature, Albanian Language Acquisition, and Albanian Literature, which are taught in Albanian.

Our teaching materials are sourced from reputable educational providers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and other countries, ensuring access to diverse, high-quality international educational resources.

Our educational programme begins at age three, rather than the more common starting age of six. This early start provides students with a strong educational foundation, allowing them to develop essential academic and social skills at an early age and enter Grade 1 better prepared for future learning and academic success.

Our educational approach is grounded in research-based, internationally recognised teaching and learning frameworks that emphasise the integration of subjects and the development of interconnected skills. This approach promotes a deeper understanding of concepts, making learning more engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable for students.

40 lesson per week & 176 days of school

Students in Grades 6–10 receive 40 instructional lessons per week over 180 school days per academic year. This comprehensive instructional schedule exceeds the minimum requirements established by the Ministry of Education, providing students with additional learning time to strengthen their knowledge, develop essential skills, and achieve academic excellence.

Our College is committed to the holistic development of every student, fostering academic excellence, personal growth, and positive interpersonal relationships. We strive to nurture responsible, compassionate, and engaged individuals who understand their role within the community and recognise their responsibility as active citizens of the wider world.

We offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities designed to enrich students’ educational experience, foster creativity, and develop their talents, interests, and practical skills beyond the classroom. These activities encourage collaboration, critical thinking, self-expression, and personal growth.

Through these opportunities, students are encouraged to explore new interests, discover their strengths, and develop valuable skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

As an international school, we place inquiry at the heart of our teaching and learning, encouraging students to develop a lifelong love of learning, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to explore new ideas. Our educational approach empowers students to think critically, ask meaningful questions, investigate different perspectives, and develop creative solutions to real-world challenges.

We recognise that effective inquiry-based learning requires access to high-quality educational resources, appropriate technology, and a well-stocked, accessible library. We therefore emphasise the purposeful integration of digital tools and technology into the learning process, enabling students to conduct research, evaluate information, collaborate effectively, and develop essential digital literacy skills. Our library serves as an important centre for learning, offering students opportunities to explore a wide range of books, reference materials, and other educational resources that support independent study and intellectual development.

Within our diverse, international learning environment, students are encouraged to become active participants in their education rather than passive recipients of information. Through inquiry, discussion, research, experimentation, and collaborative projects, they learn to make connections across subjects, challenge assumptions, communicate their ideas effectively, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Our commitment extends beyond academic achievement. We aim to nurture independent, reflective, and open-minded learners who appreciate different cultures and perspectives, demonstrate respect for others, and understand their responsibilities as members of an increasingly interconnected global community. By fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a spirit of inquiry, we prepare our students to become confident, adaptable, and responsible individuals equipped to succeed in further education and contribute meaningfully to the wider world.

Community service is an integral part of our educational philosophy and an important component of student development. We encourage and require our students to engage actively in community service initiatives that foster compassion, empathy, social responsibility, leadership, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Through meaningful service experiences, students develop essential life skills, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and project management, while gaining a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges within their local and global communities. These opportunities encourage students to become active, responsible citizens who recognise the importance of contributing to society and creating positive change.

Community service also plays a valuable role in preparing students for higher education abroad. Many international universities consider community involvement, leadership, and extracurricular engagement as part of their admissions and scholarship evaluation processes. By participating in sustained and meaningful service activities, our students can strengthen their university applications, demonstrate their personal values and initiative, and enhance their eligibility for scholarship opportunities where community engagement is recognised.

Ultimately, we aim to develop well-rounded individuals who combine academic achievement with compassion, integrity, and a strong sense of civic responsibility, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the wider world.
